Problem and value

This is a mechanical documentation refresh after #1173. Its centered Sequence headers changed the gallery artifact used by the README animation, leaving the checked-in animation receipt bound to the previous source. The unchanged freshness assertion now fails on dev 63c9263e84bd3993cab8e09b3d69888857858635; the same failure is visible in the complete regression job for #1076.

Recapture the existing three scenes with the existing builder and update the GIF and its receipt together. This follows the earlier #1150 refresh, which was already merged; it addresses the later #1173 source change. The complete inventory of 132 open PRs contained no current repair for this drift. No renderer, test, schema, capture setting or ZIP changes.

Contributor review

Accountable contributor: BlueboxC.

  • I reviewed the submitted changes and explanation, understand their impact, and can answer questions about them. Validation results and gaps are recorded below.

On 2026-10-31, I explicitly confirmed personal review of head 355ea380a2cdfddf12cd107d7d663ee7b2c4c5b7, its explanation, before/after animation and recorded validation, and that I can answer for this PR. Ready for maintainer review; no merge or deployment is requested.

Stability impact

Only two generated documentation files change. The existing 960×540, 54-frame, 5.4-second looping animation and its three scenes remain the contract. Generated-only refresh: no new behavioral abstraction or additional test is needed; the existing freshness assertion discriminates the defect.

Tests run

Base: 63c9263e84bd3993cab8e09b3d69888857858635. Candidate: 355ea380a2cdfddf12cd107d7d663ee7b2c4c5b7, tree 6055f8fd6bd0b4a097dda3dd9f11989db39d9d67, identical to the locally tested tree.

  • Before: node --test --test-name-pattern='README motion proof is compact' test/readme-showcase.test.mjs fails with classic: source artifact drift.
  • Regeneration: node scripts/build-readme-showcase.mjs with Node22.23.2, native Chrome and a temporary hash-verified ffmpeg7.1 tool; no installation.
  • After: npm run test:focus -- test/readme-showcase.test.mjs test/gallery.test.mjs, npm run test:generated, npm test and git diff --cached --check pass. The gallery suite retains its native Windows-only skip; these local checks ran on macOS.
  • CI41175050483 succeeded on this exact public head:17 successful jobs and3 expected skips (complete regression and both deployments). The green Windows scope gates skipped their test steps; native Windows test execution is not claimed. The core and affected suites ran; the local generated check remains separate. Earlier failed CI is preserved.

Visual evidence

Regenerated animation and source-bound receipt. The existing script captured the same scenes, viewport, dark theme and framing. The contact sheet was inspected for the three scenes. On 2026-10-31, I personally reviewed the presented before/after animation, explanation and recorded results and confirmed that I can answer for them.

Generated artifacts

docs/assets/archify-live-proof.gif and docs/assets/archify-live-proof.json. GIF SHA-256: 46aaacb2d93c0d781da4f7de8063ea0a8b08c59430cfe678258a20624ea4859b; 836293 bytes. The receipt hashes match all three current gallery artifacts. The Skill archive is unaffected.

BlueboxC

Recapture the existing scenes from the current gallery artifacts after upstream PR tt-a1i#1173.

Summary

Reviewed base 63c9263e84bd3993cab8e09b3d69888857858635 and head 355ea380a2cdfddf12cd107d7d663ee7b2c4c5b7. The GIF and receipt were refreshed after the Sequence header centering change; the receipt records 960×540, 54 frames, and 5.4 seconds. No runtime or compatibility changes are reported.

The author reports passing local tests and reviewing the animation. The cited CI run is observed as successful on the reviewed head. Native Windows tests were skipped. Visual acceptance is author-reported, not established by static tests.

The live-proof manifest now records the GIF as 836,293 bytes with its updated SHA-256. It also records an updated SHA-256 for the classic scene artifact.

Explanation

The PR meets the contribution-scope requirements. The description identifies the current-base failure (classic: source artifact drift), the intended outcome, and the maintenance rationale. It defines one focused mechanical documentation refresh: regenerate the existing README animation and update its receipt. It states that the 960×540, 54-frame, 5.4-second contract and three scenes remain unchanged, with no renderer, schema, test, or capture-setting compatibility changes. The existing freshness assertion and reported before/after checks cover the relevant failure boundary. The diff confirms only the generated GIF and receipt changed; the receipt preserves the contract and updates only artifact/output hashes.

Full details: Validation Evidence

Explanation

Validation evidence is sufficient for evaluated head 355ea38, against base 63c9263. Observed diff evidence shows only the GIF and its JSON receipt changed. The candidate GIF is 960×540, 54 frames, 5.4 seconds, and looping. Its size and SHA-256 match the receipt. All three receipt artifact hashes match the current gallery files. The base receipt had a stale classic hash, which establishes the reported freshness failure and PR causality. The builder and CONTRIBUTING.md require regeneration from current tracked artifacts, and the PR reports regeneration with that builder. The author-reported focused tests, generated checks, full test suite, and final-head CI provide regression evidence. The skipped native Windows steps are disclosed and do not affect this documentation-only artifact refresh. No material coverage gap remains.

Unblocks CI on this DSH docs-contract branch: the remaining failure was
classic source-artifact drift in the README motion proof (same root cause
as #1174). Bring the checked-in gif/json in line with current gallery
artifacts so full-regression can pass alongside the DSH contract fix.
