Fixed in signed source The turning ratio is scaled before calculating the derivative denominator, so finite huge collinear controls retain their reversal. Exactly collinear curves use that split; slightly off-axis curves within the existing tolerance retain their previous chord. The existing sample geometry and renderer output remain unchanged. All three added regressions failed on the original head; the repaired analyzer/public checker selection passes 84 tests with no skips. Native validation on the exact final source also passed all nine affected-scope jobs:
The regenerated ZIP changes only the reviewed SVG analyzer entry; the other 148 entries and all entry metadata are unchanged. Runtime, test and ZIP digest artifacts are attached to that run. These fork results establish the tested source and package behavior; upstream checks and maintainer acceptance remain separate. |

Fixed the decimal reversal and both large-coordinate cases in 33a6cc9. Collinearity now uses separate axis normalization with a relative roundoff bound. The checker also scales intersection calculations and avoids overflowing coordinate rounding, so the reported crossings retain finite evidence. The shared renderer geometry is unchanged. The five added native regressions fail on the previous head and pass with this repair; the two focused suites pass all 88 tests. The regenerated ZIP has 149 unchanged entry names/metadata, with only the analyzer and checker payloads updated to match the source. Full validation used the exact final source: 17 passing jobs, including both full and browser shards, Node compatibility, WebM, ZIP, manifest, website and all three package platforms. That run's Windows jobs stopped on a fork-origin mismatch in the existing repository-evidence fixture. Both native Windows checks then passed with the read-only clone origin bound to the fixture's upstream URL. No source or test gate was changed for that retry. |

archify/renderers/shared/svg-path-analysis.mjs:120-148
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winUse a tighter roundoff bound before splitting the quadratic.
The current predicate accepts this finite non-collinear path:
M0 0 Q2000000000000000 1000000000000000 1000000000000000 500000000000001With a second route,
M1000000000000000 500000000000000.1 V500000000000000.3the new split line intersects the second route at
[1000000000000000, 500000000000000.25]. The exact quadratic is at y500000000000000.06for the same x, so it does not intersect that route. The prior endpoint chord also does not intersect it. Workflow-v2 consumes these split segments, so the checker can report a false crossing.This is distinct from the existing absolute-cross tolerance issue. The new relative predicate enters the split branch before the old
Math.abs(cross) <= 1e-9fallback.A factor of

Thank you for the work on this and for documenting the numerical edge cases and validation so carefully. Preserving the actual extent of a reversing quadratic path is a reasonable checker concern, and we appreciate the effort you've put into making the behavior precise. Before taking this further, we'd like to establish the practical impact on current diagram generation and use that evidence to decide the appropriate scope. Could you first verify the issue against the latest Please retain the natural-language request, full session record, original generated JSON, and before/after diagrams and checker results. Existing applicable evidence can be reused, and the run can be limited to the affected diagram type(s). Please distinguish an unchanged-input checker comparison from independent authoring runs; failures and repairs can stay in the session rather than a separate duplicate log. Our main question is the balance between user benefit and long-term maintenance. The current implementation goes beyond retaining a quadratic's reversal: it also introduces exact arithmetic, original decimal-token tracking, and handling for very large or very small coordinates. Those tests are useful correctness evidence, but we have not yet seen how much of that machinery is needed for real Archify-generated diagrams, or whether the changed checks introduce additional repair work in ordinary use. If a real generation case demonstrates the problem, could we explore the smallest reliable fix that covers it while preserving existing behavior? We are not asking you to keep adding extreme numerical cases. If the issue only appears in constructed inputs so far, please say so; we can defer the broader numerical work rather than expand the implementation without a clear usage need. The PR currently conflicts with |
|
The evidence currently provided on this PR is from constructed numeric/path fixtures and unchanged-input checker comparisons. I do not yet have the requested actual Agent-generated real-repository case with its natural-language request, full session, original JSON and before/after diagrams. Those fixture results do not establish practical impact on current generation or justify the broader exact-arithmetic/decimal-token machinery. I will keep that broader implementation on hold rather than add more extreme cases or claim the benchmark requirement is met. The dev synchronization also remains pending the scope decision, as requested. |

Collinear quadratic paths can reverse beyond their endpoint. Shared SVG analysis retains their exact turning extent for structural and readable-v2 route checks while preserving the existing eight-step curve samples and tolerated near-collinear chord behavior.
The existing absolute
1e-9curvature/orientation tolerance remains. An adaptive error interval validates rounded determinants; uncertain finite cancellation and overflow use exact IEEE754 dyadics. Strict turning/intersection bounds are tested before rounding. Quadratic vertices and proper intersection coordinates are evaluated as exact rational coordinates and rounded once to nearest, ties-even, including subnormals. This preserves a real excursion when its turning parameter rounds to an endpoint, and avoids order-dependent coordinates produced by interpolating rounded parameters. These are bounded regression proofs; exhaustive numerical or perceptual acceptance is not established.Integrated current dev
