Elevator Pitch

Think Animal Crossing meets Stardew Valley meets Final Fantasy VI, taking place in the far future.

Story

For millions of years, one species dominated the musical multiverse. At a critical juncture, faced with an existential threat, their civilization vanished in an instant, leaving only those in subjugation. In the present, hundreds of thousands of years later, various alien species have only just begun to understand the technology that surrounds them. With no reliable widespread transportation network, brave explorers are forced to rely on mysterious wormholes to link up, all in the hopes that answers can be found: who were they, what did they do, and where did they go?

Starting Out

  1. First, a new player creates an Avant Guardian, a special class of Cleffian capable of utilizing the fundamental force of the universe: the infinite harmonic series. The player makes one selection from four possible classes: the Altorese, the Tenorians, the Treblers, or the Bassites. The character creation process is fairly customizable, and entails selecting a name, birth date, nature, and color scheme.

  2. After character creation commences, the new player coheres onto their home planetoid, located somewhere at some time in some dimension. This initial version of their home is small, as no one is singing the hero's praises. Filled with a desire to prove themselves and acquire a more desirable home, the character's exploration attempts has them stumble across a series of wormhole devices:

Simulation Wormhole: leads to a preconfigured dungeon (known as a chamber). By following the linear path, a new player can pick up the mechanics of the game without needing to read through a book on theory.

Training Wormhole: leads to a one-room chamber with an invincible, immortal test target. Here, the active piece (combination of art and music) may be manipulated at will, but no wards are experience are granted in the process.

Travel Wormhole: has a text entry device in close proximity. Upon entering a phrase, the character may travel to another player's home planetoid. Unfortunately, a new character has no phrases available, leaving...

Trouble Wormhole: has a dial device in close proximity, initially set to one but can go as high as 12. When the dial is pushed in, the wormhole spawns and sucks in nearby beings at a hard force. Many monsters and traps exist in these dimensions, as well as fearsome creatures to be overcome.

  1. A new user should work their way through the simulation wormhole first, and after completion by try out the training wormhole, or go straight into the Trouble Wormhole at a low dial level.

  2. As the player continues, they will eventually accrue better loot, meet additional followers for their homeworld, and engage in epic fights that will marvel populaces for a thousand years.
