Is there a proper guide to use this?

I have been able to deploy it in my docker and run it in the same network bridge with Sonarr but I am not able to get it to do anything except been able to delete the files that I already had inside the put io folder.

Is there a proper guide to install this and its usage? I would be happy to help write this if there is some basic help on how to do it.

The symptom you're describing — putioarr can see and delete the files in your put.io folder, but nothing actually gets into Sonarr — is almost always a shared-path problem.

Sonarr/Radarr import a completed download by reading the files off disk themselves. So Sonarr has to be able to see the files putioarr downloaded, at the same path putioarr used. If putioarr writes to /downloads inside its container but Sonarr doesn't have that same directory mounted (or sees it at a different path), the download finishes and putioarr cleans it up, but Sonarr never imports anything.

Two things to check:

1. Download client in Sonarr — add it as Transmission (Settings → Download Clients → Add → Transmission):

   • Host: putioarr's host (e.g. putioarr if on the same Docker network)
   • Port: 9091
   • URL Base: /transmission
   • Username / Password: the ones from putioarr's config
   • Test should go green.

2. Shared download path — mount the same host directory into both containers at the same path (e.g. /downloads in both putioarr and Sonarr). If the paths must differ, add a Remote Path Mapping in Sonarr so it can translate putioarr's path to where Sonarr sees the files.
