We can't convert Smoothie Board to Circuit JSON

This is probably a pretty hard multi-step issue. Make sure to download freerouting to make sure the snapshot resembles the DSN file.

In addition to the bounty, we will likely tip for steps along the way because doing it in one big PR may be counter-productive.

Plan:

1. Download the Smoothie Board DSN file and analyze its structure
2. Compare with freerouting to understand expected output
3. Identify parsing issues in the converter
4. Fix issues incrementally with tests
5. Submit PR with snapshot tests

Analysis Update

I've analyzed the Smoothieboard DSN conversion:

Findings:

1. DSN Parsing: ✅ Working correctly

   • 42 vias parsed from wiring section
   • 1055 pads parsed from components

2. Circuit JSON Conversion: ✅ Working correctly

   • 42 pcb_via elements generated
   • All pads converted to pcb_smtpad

3. SVG Rendering: ⚠️ Issue found

   • circuit-to-svg doesn't render pcb_via elements
   • SVG shows pads but no vias

Note:

The DSN file (Issue145-smoothieboard.dsn) contains no wire traces - only vias. This is an un-routed board with pre-placed vias for ground planes.

Question:

Is the issue about:

1. Via rendering (which requires changes to circuit-to-svg)?
2. Component positions/orientations?
3. Something else specific to how Freerouting displays this board?

Submitted PR #119 with three fixes for the Smoothie Board conversion:

1. Component rotation applied to pin positions — 206 of 322 components have non-zero rotation but pin offsets were being added without rotation transform
2. Non-numeric pin number handling — 144 pins (GND2, rotate, A, C, +, -) caused NaN in IDs and null pin_number
3. Unique via/pad IDs — multiple vias on same net and pads with duplicate pin_number no longer collide

Result: NaN elements went from 920 → 0, all 1055 pad IDs and 42 via IDs are now unique. 47 existing tests pass with zero regressions.
