What Crowdstax is

Crowdstax is a launch, product-discovery, feedback, media, and community platform for internet builders. It gives a real product a public home where people can understand what it does, visit the maker's website, follow the launch, leave a review, ask questions, and see product updates over time.

The platform is designed around more than a single launch-day spike. Approved products can be found through the live feed, upcoming launches, weekly and monthly views, historical launch archives, categories, launch tags, product pages, alternative pages where a real comparison is available, community discussion, and related builder resources.

Crowdstax is not a pay-to-rank directory. Listings must meet moderation standards before they are public. Paid plans create disclosed, time-bounded featured placement; they do not buy organic ranking or guarantee traffic, customers, reviews, votes, search visibility, press coverage, or revenue.

Who it is for

Founders and product teams — You are launching a startup, SaaS product, AI tool, developer tool, automation workflow, browser extension, creator tool, API, web app, or practical internet business. You want a clear launch page, feedback, discovery, and a way to keep sharing progress after the launch.

Builders and early adopters — You want to find products worth trying, follow new launches, leave a review, ask useful questions, compare tools, and participate in a low-noise builder community.

Product Scouts and community contributors — You know a real product that deserves attention. You can submit it transparently through the community path, help create useful product context, and earn karma for legitimate discovery and feedback.

Launch options at a glance

Launch option Price Review and publication Placement Included product-link and badge context
Free $0 Manual review before publication Approved launch feed placement; no guaranteed featured placement Product-page link after approval; optional product badge
Pro $19.99 one-time Publishes after successful payment confirmation rather than the standard queue Featured placement for 15.5 days Permanent Crowdstax backlink and optional badge
Sponsor $49.99 one-time Publishes after successful payment confirmation; sponsor availability is date-limited Pro benefits plus labeled premium placement on eligible Crowdstax surfaces Pro benefits plus dedicated review-style coverage listed in the current plan

The paid plans are one-time launch purchases, not subscriptions. Stripe processes payment. The current Terms state that Pro and Sponsor purchases are non-refundable except where law requires otherwise; a refund or dispute can end related paid placement and benefits.

Free launch — full detail

Price: $0

Best for: Founders who want a reviewed public listing and launch-feed presence without payment, and are prepared to give the community a complete, accurate product profile.

What Free includes

  • A founder product submission with no credit card or payment required.
  • Manual review for product clarity, ownership context, category and launch-tag fit, quality, and community guidelines.
  • Publication after approval.
  • A public Crowdstax product page linking to the product's website.
  • Placement in appropriate approved launch and discovery surfaces.
  • Access to product feedback surfaces such as reviews, questions, discussions, and maker updates after publication.
  • Optional Crowdstax product badge artwork and product-specific embed code.

Free founder community step

When other approved products are live in the current launch week, a Free founder submission asks the submitter to support up to three of them before completing the submission. If there are no other current-week products, no support votes are required. This is community participation, not a purchase of ranking: vote manipulation, fake engagement, and coordinated ranking manipulation are prohibited.

What Free does not include

  • Instant publication.
  • Guaranteed featured placement.
  • Guaranteed support, traffic, votes, reviews, search rankings, customers, or other business outcomes.

Pro launch — full detail

Price: $19.99 USD, one time.

Best for: Founder-owned products that are ready to publish and want a faster launch path with disclosed featured visibility.

What Pro includes

  • Publication after Stripe confirms a successful payment, instead of waiting in the standard Free review queue.
  • A labeled featured placement window of 15.5 days on eligible Crowdstax surfaces.
  • A permanent Crowdstax product-page backlink, as described on the current pricing page.
  • Optional Crowdstax badge backlink and generated product-specific badge code.
  • Product editing from the founder's management area.
  • The current plan's newsletter and social shoutout benefit.
  • Priority support for the launch.

Important limits

Paid placement is reviewed, labeled, and bounded. It does not override moderation or guarantee a position in normal discovery rankings. It also does not promise votes, reviews, traffic, search performance, customers, revenue, press coverage, or editorial endorsement.

Sponsor launch — full detail

Price: $49.99 USD, one time.

Best for: Founder-owned products that want the broadest disclosed placement package currently offered by Crowdstax.

What Sponsor includes

  • All Pro launch benefits.
  • Labeled premium placement across eligible Crowdstax launch and discovery surfaces.
  • Highlighting in eligible product, category, launch-tag, and search views while the sponsor placement is active.
  • The current plan's newsletter, social, and video-shoutout benefits, with video promotion dependent on usable supplied video assets.
  • Sponsor availability limited by date rather than unlimited booking.
  • A dedicated review-style product article covering the product, offer, and reasons to try it, as listed in the current plan.
  • Priority support.

Important limits

Sponsor is a paid, disclosed visibility product—not a guarantee of organic ranking, third-party coverage, traffic, conversions, reviews, votes, or revenue. Product claims and promotional materials remain subject to accuracy, moderation, and applicable policies.

Which launch path should I choose?

  • Choose Free when a reviewed listing and normal launch-feed presence are the right starting point.
  • Choose Pro when your founder-owned product is ready to publish after confirmed payment and you want the defined 15.5-day featured-placement window.
  • Choose Sponsor when you want Pro benefits plus the current sponsor-level placement and coverage package, subject to date availability and the plan terms.

How launch scheduling works

Crowdstax uses Monday–Sunday launch weeks. During submission, founders can select from the available launch weeks presented in the product flow.

  • The booking flow exposes up to the next eight launch weeks.
  • A launch week has a capacity of up to 30 scheduled products.
  • A calendar month has a capacity of up to 120 scheduled products.
  • The current week becomes unavailable when less than three days remain, so a product does not enter at the end of its launch window.
  • A product can be shown in live, upcoming, weekly, monthly, and archive views according to its approved launch date and eligibility.

Launch timing is only one discovery signal. Public feeds use approved status, launch timing, visible votes, recency, reviews, discussions, relevant categories, launch tags, and moderation context. Paid placement may add a clearly labeled featured surface, but it does not buy the normal ranking order.

Discovery beyond launch day

Every approved product is intended to have useful long-tail discovery, not just a launch moment. Depending on eligibility and product context, visitors can find listings through:

  • The live launch feed and featured surfaces.
  • Upcoming, weekly, and monthly launch views.
  • A historical launch archive organized by month.
  • Product categories and accurate launch tags.
  • Product detail pages with the product story, website, media, maker context, pricing model, supported platforms, and social links when supplied.
  • Reviews, ratings, questions, product discussions, and maker updates.
  • Alternative and comparison pages when Crowdstax has a reviewed, material relationship to show.
  • Public founder profiles and community discussion where available.

Draft, rejected, removed, private, and admin-only records are not public product-discovery targets.

Reviews, discussion, and maker updates

Crowdstax gives product pages room for useful evaluation after the initial launch.

  • Visitors can leave reviews and participate in product discussion.
  • Builders can ask questions, share practical feedback, and vote on discussion entries.
  • Product teams can publish updates as the product changes.
  • Product pages can show review context, discussion activity, and the latest maker update.
  • Community discussion is subject to reporting, moderation, and the Community Guidelines.

The goal is practical context: what a product does, who it helps, what users tried, what worked, what did not, and what has changed. Fake reviews, fake makers, undisclosed conflicts, and engagement manipulation are prohibited.

Community submissions and product claims

You can submit a product you did not build through the community-submission path, provided the entry is factual, authorized where needed, and clearly identified as community submitted.

Community submissions

  • Community-submitted products go through standard moderation.
  • They do not receive founder-only paid-launch options during submission.
  • Product information must be accurate, relevant, and supported by a real public website.
  • Do not impersonate a founder, fabricate a relationship, copy unverified marketing claims, or create fake reviews, votes, or comments.
  • Approved community listings can appear in product discovery, launch feeds, categories, launch tags, relevant alternatives, and search-oriented discovery surfaces when eligible.

Claiming a community listing

If you are the real product owner, you can claim an unclaimed community listing. Claiming gives the legitimate team a route to verify ownership, manage eligible product details, reply to reviews, and access product-owner features. Claims remain subject to verification and platform safeguards.

Scouts, karma, and the leaderboard

Crowdstax recognizes useful community discovery without selling product rank.

  • Scouts can earn karma for real product discoveries, votes cast, votes earned by products they scouted, and detailed feedback.
  • Active Scout bounties can reward verified alternatives to a specific, active discovery target.
  • The public leaderboard recognizes contributors by community-positive activity such as legitimate discoveries, support, and feedback.
  • Karma does not override the product ranking system or buy a product's organic placement.

Use the Community Submissions guide to understand the expectations before scouting a product.

Crowdstax badges

Approved product owners can optionally add a Crowdstax badge to their own website. The badge links to the product's public Crowdstax page and gives visitors a direct route to launch context, reviews, discussion, and discovery information.

  • Light, Neutral, and Dark artwork variants are available.
  • Product-specific embed code is generated for the relevant listing.
  • A badge is optional. It does not affect submission approval, review timing, or ranking placement.
  • A badge is not a promise of search rankings, traffic, or business outcomes.

Read the Badge guide.

Free tools for builders

Crowdstax also offers free public tools, without requiring an account for normal use.

Website Visibility Checker

The Website Visibility Checker checks a public domain for:

  • HTTPS reachability and public homepage metadata.
  • Title, meta description, canonical URL, and document language.
  • OpenPageRank authority data and referring-domain context, when available.
  • Public registration-history and Organization or WebSite structured-data signals.
  • Availability of robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt at expected public paths.

It does not estimate traffic, keyword volume, engagement, or business quality. OpenPageRank is a third-party directional signal, not a measure of product success.

llms.txt Validator

The llms.txt Validator checks pasted content locally in the browser or fetches a public /llms.txt URL for review. It reports a 0–100 health score plus errors, warnings, and suggestions for:

  • A single H1 title.
  • A concise summary blockquote.
  • Markdown link sections and link descriptions.
  • Valid links and descriptions.
  • Placement of an optional section.

Pasted content stays in the browser. URL mode reads only the public file requested.

Launch resources, news, and forums

Crowdstax is intended to be a builder ecosystem, not just a product index.

  • The Launch Playbook covers preparation, positioning, community building, launch messaging, beta testing, early feedback, testimonials, launch-day response, post-launch follow-up, and handling negative feedback.
  • News covers builder work, product launches, software and AI tools, platform changes, tutorials, and founder stories.
  • Forums provide moderated conversation around launch feedback, build-in-public work, questions, growth, monetization, tools, and internet businesses.
  • Categories, Launch Tags, and the Launch Archive help visitors navigate approved products by type, workflow, and launch period.

Submission flow and timeline

Typical founder flow

  1. Create a Crowdstax account and confirm your email address.
  2. Open Submit and begin with the product website URL. Crowdstax can prefill available public metadata for review and editing.
  3. Complete the product profile: name, tagline, description, category, launch tags, product platforms, maker or team context, pricing model, problem, audience, launch date, logo, and optional screenshots, video, demo, social links, promotion, and additional context.
  4. Choose whether the listing is a founder/team submission or a community recommendation.
  5. Founder submissions choose Free, Pro, or Sponsor. Community submissions stay on the standard moderated path.
  6. Free founders complete the current community-support step when it applies. Paid founders complete Stripe Checkout.
  7. Free and community entries await manual review. Paid founder launches take effect only after successful payment confirmation.

If a paid checkout is interrupted or fails, the submission flow preserves a private draft so the founder can resume it from the dashboard.

What to prepare

Strong submissions have a live product website, clear positioning, an accurate description, a readable logo, relevant categories and launch tags, maker context, truthful pricing and availability, authorized screenshots or media, and a plan to respond to feedback.

What can and cannot be submitted

Crowdstax is built for real software products and practical builder work, including startups, SaaS products, AI tools and agent workflows, automation products, MCP projects, developer tools, APIs, browser extensions, creator tools, marketing tools, productivity tools, web apps, and useful internet businesses.

Every submission must be real, accessible, accurately described, and appropriately categorized. You must have the right to submit the product materials you provide.

Crowdstax may reject, edit, reclassify, remove, or add context to listings that are inaccurate, duplicate, spammy, misleading, unsafe, irrelevant, manipulated, or inconsistent with the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.

Transparency and moderation

Crowdstax publishes its ranking policy and Community Guidelines so makers and visitors understand the rules.

  • Public discovery is for approved listings.
  • Normal product ordering uses visible discovery signals such as votes, launch timing, recency, reviews, discussions, categories, launch tags, and moderation context.
  • Paid placement is labeled and limited to eligible surfaces; it does not buy normal ranking.
  • Sponsorships, promoted content, affiliate relationships, and similar incentives should be disclosed where practical.
  • Crowdstax may restrict features, remove content or engagement, or suspend accounts to protect users and platform integrity.

Please read the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Editorial Guidelines before using the service.

Frequently asked questions

Is Crowdstax free?

Yes. Free founder and community-submission paths use manual review and do not require payment. Pro and Sponsor are optional one-time paid launch options.

Does submitting guarantee publication or traffic?

No. Submission does not guarantee publication, ranking, traffic, search visibility, reviews, votes, customers, funding, press coverage, or revenue.

Can I submit a product I did not build?

Yes, through the community-submission path. It must be clearly represented as a community recommendation, use accurate public information, and pass moderation.

Can I change a product after launch?

Verified product owners can manage eligible product details and publish updates. Material changes, moderation concerns, or launch-date changes may be reviewed under the platform rules.

Are badges required?

No. Product badges are optional and do not determine approval, review timing, or rank.

Is paid placement an SEO guarantee?

No. Paid plans can add disclosed placement and the plan features described above, but Crowdstax does not sell organic rank or guarantee search outcomes.

What happens if my paid checkout fails?

The submission remains a private draft that can be resumed. A paid plan becomes active only after Stripe confirms payment.

Can I promote my launch?

You are encouraged to share accurate context with your real audience and ask for honest feedback. Do not use fake accounts, fake reviews, undisclosed incentives, coordinated manipulation, spam, or vote buying.
