Summary

Advance the tinystoragedrivers gitlink to its latest canonical main commit, which includes the already-merged S3 driver and follow-up contract fixes from PRs #28, #29, and #30. All other recursive dependency pins remain at TinyAgents main's recorded revisions.

Validation

  • cargo fmt --all -- --check
  • cargo clippy --manifest-path Cargo.toml --workspace --all-targets -- -D warnings
  • cargo test --workspace

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes

    • Stale ledger operations now report a scope-generation rejection instead of a fencing error.
  • Chores

    • Updated the storage-driver components included with the product.

Update the vendored tinystoragedrivers submodule to a newer revision.

Completeness: Complete
Test assessment: No supported feature-to-test mapping was available; this does not mean tests are absent or passed.

What changed

The diff rewrites three stale-scope test assertions, replacing `ErrorKind::Fenced` with `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` in the driver test suites: the agent driver test asserting that a retired generation cannot change status, allocate events, or project state; the entry-tree driver test asserting that a retired generation cannot read or append a fresh entry tree; and the retention driver test asserting that a retired generation cannot prune fresh telemetry. Each site keeps the same structure — an `unwrap_err()` result matched against `super::super::LedgerError::Driver(native)` where `native.kind()` must equal the expected variant — so the change only tightens the expected variant rather than weakening the check. The scenario is a handle bound to `ScopeGeneration(0)` whose scope has been purged, i.e. a retired generation with no fence involved, so a generation-rejection kind is the semantically right expectation and matches the two sibling tests asserting the same variant for the analogous retired-generation rejections. No production code, dependency pin, or gitlink is touched; the PR description's claimed storage-driver pin bump is not present in the change.

Features

  • Modified — Retired-generation status/event/projection refusal asserted as ScopeGenerationRejected: The agent driver test now requires the driver to report `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` (previously `ErrorKind::Fenced`) when a retired generation attempts status changes, event allocation, or projection, aligning the expectation with the refusal semantics asserted by the sibling retired-generation tests while still requiring an error. (crates/tinyagents-session/src/run_ledger/drivers/agent_tests.rs#async fn retired_generation_cannot_change_status_allocate_events_or_project_stre)
  • Modified — Retired-generation entry-tree read/append refusal asserted as ScopeGenerationRejected: The entry-tree driver test now requires `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` (previously `ErrorKind::Fenced`) for reads and appends against a retired generation, matching the variant used by the analogous retired-generation refusals elsewhere in the tree. (crates/tinyagents-session/src/run_ledger/drivers/entry_tree_tests.rs#async fn retired_generation_cannot_read_or_append_fresh_entry_tree() {)
  • Modified — Retired-generation telemetry prune refusal asserted as ScopeGenerationRejected: The retention driver test now requires `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` (previously `ErrorKind::Fenced`) when a retired generation attempts to prune fresh telemetry, keeping the assertion strict on the native error variant. (crates/tinyagents-session/src/run_ledger/drivers/retention_tests.rs#async fn retired_generation_cannot_prune_fresh_telemetry() {)

critique

  • Conclusion: Success
  • Scope reviewed: all assigned evidence
  • Positive: The substitution matches the variant already asserted for the analogous retired-generation refusals in the entry-tree and retention driver tests, and the assertion remains strong because an error is still required.
  • Lane summary: The single-line change replaces the expected native error kind in `retired_generation_cannot_change_status_allocate_events_or_project_streams` with `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected`, and nothing else in the PR changes. The scenario is a handle bound to `ScopeGeneration(0)` whose scope has been purged, i.e. a retired generation with no fence involved, so a generation-rejection kind is the semantically right expectation, and two sibling tests in the same tree assert `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` for exactly this retired-generation setup (`entry_tree_tests.rs` `retired_generation_cannot_read_or_append_fresh_entry_tree`, `retention_tests.rs` `retired_generation_cannot_prune_fresh_telemetry`). The import of `ErrorKind` inside the test function is unchanged and still in scope, and the same variant is used elsewhere in the same commit, so no compile break is visible. The only detail I could not check is the vendored `tinystoragedrivers` crate itself (submodule not checked out), where `ErrorKind` is defined; nothing in the visible repository contradicts the new expectation. 3 file(s) are the mechanical rename `Fenc` → `ScopeGenerationReject`, verified line for line; one of them was read to judge the substitution itself, the rest were not sent to a model. _The code index is behind this pull request (indexed at `435ae43dbd3d`), so retrieved context may be out of date._

security

  • Conclusion: Neutral
  • Scope reviewed: all assigned evidence
  • Positive: No changed file introduces any attack surface.
  • Lane summary: No changed file has any attack surface.

tests

  • Conclusion: Success
  • Scope reviewed: all assigned evidence
  • Lane summary: The diff is a test-only update: three tests that expected `ErrorKind::Fenced` from a retired-scope generation now expect `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected`, matching the storage driver's more precise kind for that path. The assertions still pin the failure — a wrong error kind still fails the test — so the coverage these tests provide is unchanged, and no production code in this repository changed, leaving nothing to regress. I could not read the vendored `tinystoragedrivers` enum to confirm the variant exists (the submodule is not checked out), but the diff itself does not prove otherwise, so I raise nothing on that. _The code index is behind this pull request (indexed at `435ae43dbd3d`), so retrieved context may be out of date._

description

  • Conclusion: Success
  • Scope reviewed: all assigned evidence
  • Positive: The PR text describes a `tinystoragedrivers` pin bump and a validation matrix, but no gitlink or dependency pin appears in the diff; the description does not mention the assertion change that constitutes the entire change.
  • Lane summary: The diff only rewrites three stale-generation ledger test assertions from `ErrorKind::Fenced` to `ErrorKind::ScopeGenerationRejected` (in `agent_tests.rs`, `entry_tree_tests.rs`, `retention_tests.rs`) and contains no `tinystoragedrivers` gitlink pointer change, yet the PR body presents the change purely as a dependency pin advance. The code change itself is coherent with the driver contract it targets, but the description does not match the diff, so the body needs a rewrite before merge. _The code index is behind this pull request (indexed at `435ae43dbd3d`), so retrieved context may be out of date._
