Storage: cdylib stream/watch e2e once tinybus binds them (follow-up to #7772) #7786

Closed

Description

@senamakel

Part of #7522. Follow-up to #7772.

Blocked on #7781 (tinybus 0.1.5 move: accept_stream_from / emit_to). Until then the host answers PutStream, GetStream and WatchOpen with unsupported-selector.

Remaining

  • cdylib e2e: a blob over 16 MiB round trips through tinybus.Stream (PutStream + GetStream).
  • cdylib e2e: a watch signal reaches the subscriber (WatchOpen + emit_to).
  • Replace streams_and_watches_are_refused_until_tinybus_binds_them in modules/storage_host_cdylib_tests.rs with those two assertions (the rig("tinyjuice") rig already carries a real module).
  • Investigate: an inline blob exceeding the 16 MiB frame (4.5 MB of 0xFF as a JSON array) hangs the probe call past its 6 s and the caller's 30 s timeouts (tinybus frame handling).
  • Rerun Lanes / CI Fast (EX63) once the runner has sudo (failed with sudo: command not found, unrelated to storage(#7772): cdylib e2e for storage refusals, fix modules-less build break, 87.9% #7736 diff coverage #7785).

    @tinysweeper

    Follow-up to #7772: add cdylib e2e coverage for tinybus Stream (PutStream/GetStream) and Watch (WatchOpen/emit_to) once #7781 binds them, replace the refusal test in modules/storage_host_cdylib_tests.rs, investigate the >16 MiB inline blob probe hang (tinybus frame handling), and rerun Lanes / CI Fast once the runner has sudo. Blocked on #7781, so it is checklist/follow-up work rather than an active bug.

    Labelled priority: p3.

    tinyhumansai/tinybus#69: a transport-refused message (frame over 16 MiB) no longer ends the connection writer, which is what hung the probe call (tinyhumansai/tinybus#69)

    tinyhumansai/tinybus#70: same fix for the broker's per-peer writer (follow-up to #69, which merged as dec1b01) (tinyhumansai/tinybus#70)

    Progress: delivered by #7800 (merged; fixes the hang via tinybus#69, merged as dec1b01). Related: tinybus#70 (open). Ticked the four implementation items. Remaining moved to #7803: re-pin after tinybus#70, and CI Fast (EX63) rerun, which has not been checked locally.
