SkillSeal

Decentralized Proof-of-Skill Infrastructure

Overview

SkillSeal is a decentralized protocol that transforms real work into verifiable, composable skill credentials.

SkillSeal is designed as infrastructure rather than a platform, enabling any DAO, protocol, or application to issue, verify, and consume proof-of-skill credentials natively on-chain.

Motivation

Web3 has wallets, identities, and NFTs. What it lacks is verifiable skill truth.

SkillSeal enables trust-minimized skill verification that is portable, composable, and protocol-agnostic.

Key Features

Skill Credentials

  • Issued as non-transferable NFTs
  • Bound to a wallet address
  • Standardized metadata schema
  • Machine-readable and composable

Verification Pipelines

  • GitHub repository and commit analysis
  • Smart contract bytecode validation
  • DAO task completion proofs
  • External verifier attestations

Composability

  • Any protocol can query SkillSeal credentials
  • Credentials usable for governance, access control, and rewards
  • Chain-agnostic design

Architecture

Verifier Modules → SkillSeal Core Contracts → Consumer Protocols

Technology Stack

  • Solidity
  • Foundry
  • Chainlink Automation
  • IPFS
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL indexer

Security Model

  • Multi-verifier attestations
  • Threshold-based credential issuance
  • Credential revocation support
  • Transparent and auditable verification logic

Initial Modules

  • Solidity Skill Module
  • Open Source Contribution Module
  • DAO Contributor Module

Use Cases

  • DAO contributor vetting
  • Protocol access control
  • Skill-based governance
  • Grant and bounty qualification
  • Decentralized resumes

Roadmap

  • Zero-knowledge skill proofs
  • Verifier staking and slashing
  • Cross-chain credential synchronization
  • Skill-based DAO voting
  • Public skill analytics dashboard

Design Principles

  • Skills must be earned
  • Credentials must be verifiable
  • Reputation must be portable
  • Trust must be minimized
