Manifest JSON Structure

The site content is driven by data/site-links.json.

Top-level fields

  • schemaVersion: Manifest format version.
  • generatedAt: Timestamp for the manifest generation.
  • links: Canonical link catalog (source of link content/metadata).
  • data: Page structure tree for rendering order and grouping.

links[] (canonical metadata)

Each link object includes:

  • id: Stable key used by the data tree (parts[].link) and inline anchors (data-link-id).
  • sourceHref: Original link source from historical content.
  • href: Current URL used for rendering.
  • text: Display text for the link.
  • description: Description shown after the link when applicable.
  • license: License text (rendered as License Info).
  • variants: Historical/alternate text+description+license variants.
  • active: Whether the link should render.
  • status, httpStatus, finalUrl, lastChecked: Link health metadata.

data (structure-only layout)

The data object defines the page layout and order:

  • anchor: Root section anchor (#data).
  • title: Section title shown in the page.
  • groups[]: High-level buckets (for example Created, 3rd Party).
  • categories[]: Subsections with their own anchors (for example network, malware).
  • lists[] and items[]: Nested list hierarchy.
  • parts[]: Token list for each row.

parts[] tokens:

  • { "link": "<id>" } resolves to an entry in links[].
  • { "text": "..." } is structural glue text (for separators/phrasing in compound rows).

Rendering model

  • links[] is the source of truth for content (text, description, license, link health).
  • data controls where and in what order items appear.
  • Inactive links are omitted at render time.
