What changed
Prepare the second public non-development release as v0.2.1, preserving the existing v0.2.0 tag and its older draft.
Playback fixes advance YouTube timers between extension events and preserve original activity priority when falling back across servers, Spotify and YouTube tabs. Desktop fixes serialize overlapping Settings changes with their running loops, drain saves on shutdown and quote Linux autostart paths correctly.
Hosted-card fixes commit last-played history atomically with accepted updates, recover sign-in after remote device revocation, and accurately disclose ten-minute live state and seven-day public last-played retention. Sharp is updated to 0.35.5 for the publicly disclosed image-processing advisory.
Release packages now contain working source entry points and self-contained Windows launchers with runtime notices. Smoke tests hide installed .NET, exercise actual Windows packaging and enforce the updater's 100 MiB limit. Release Please creates tagged drafts; publication verifies checksums, uploads without clobbering, downloads and compares every asset, then marks the release Latest. README, installation guides and v0.2.1 notes describe the resulting stable release and manual upgrades.
Why
The existing passing suite missed reproducible timing, concurrency, fallback and packaging failures. New regressions cover the failures and rejection paths. Stable publication must use the exact verified packages and retain immutable tags and assets.
Checks
gio launchargument round-trip passednpm ci, public imports, Sharp binary and CLI smoke testsAll 33 checks passed on the final audit commit, including native Windows packaging, .NET isolation, installer/WebUI tests, Linux packages, macOS and hosted builds.
