Welcome to the displacement-risk-index wiki. This repository includes the R scripts for each of the indicators. For each indicator there is a data-gen script, which collects and prepares the data for visualization, and a vis script, which generates the descriptive statistics and the visuals for the methodology document. The outputs from the separate indicator vis scripts are inputs for the consolidatedFinalValues.R script, which generates FinalIndicators.xlsx. This spreadsheet compiles the indicator values for each census tract.

Supporting documentation including indicator definitions, data sources, and data contacts for each of the indicators is saved in the network project folder (Y:\VISION 2050\Data\Displacement\Displacement Index 2026).

For some of the more complex indicators (transit/proximity to amenities), additional pre-processing and calculation are required. These supplemental scripts will be saved in Github (along with the data-gen and viz scripts) and the documentation describing how to run these processes will be included in the README files within each script/indicator subfolder.
