A Windows desktop application for chatting with and configuring local LLM models.
It runs fully offline, guarantees privacy, and provides both advanced configuration options for enthusiasts as well as a ready-to-use environment for casual users.
LLMate is a .NET MAUI application that allows you to:
- Chat with LLM models fully offline
- Configure and fine-tune models with advanced settings (for power users)
- Use out-of-the-box defaults for a simple experience (for beginners)
- Enhance and diversify LLM knowledge in an isolated environment
- Keep full privacy – no data ever leaves your machine
This project is currently a prototype, actively developed by a single developer.
- Download or clone the repository.
- Run
install.bat. - Follow the on-screen steps.
- Accept the EULA inside the app.
After installation:
- Start the application
- Accept the EULA (first launch only)
- Begin chatting with your local models
- Language / Framework: C#, .NET 8.0, .NET MAUI
- Models: works with any local LLM models you choose
