I don't think we can update the kotlin version (and maybe qodana too) until we are ready to update the minimum required IDE version. 2025.3 is what we need, but it came out in September so it feels a bit early to bump it to that. Maybe once 2026.1 comes out we can do it? I don't think that staying on an older version costs us anything here in terms of maintainability.
