[Distribution] Decide and document an iOS distribution path #83

Description

@chtnnh

Parent

Part of #79 (app distribution).

Summary

Android has a CI APK path (preview). iOS today is USB / Xcode only; README still marks iOS as blocked/experimental. There is no TestFlight, IPA, AltStore, or “source-only until radio is green” decision on the tracker.

Why it matters

Cross-platform mesh is a core claim (#8). Even a “we do not distribute iOS binaries yet; build yourself” policy should be explicit on the site so organizers do not assume App Store / TestFlight.

Proposed direction (pick one and document)

  1. Source-only until [High] Cross-platform BLE delivery unverified; README iOS status stale #8 hardware path is honest, or
  2. TestFlight (Apple account, review friction, internet for install), or
  3. Sideload (AltStore / developer cert) with clear trust/expiry limits

Done when

  • Written decision in README + website (get-started / limits)
  • If binaries: pipeline or manual runbook exists
  • If source-only: site says so bluntly (no fake download button)

#8 cross-platform BLE status; #79 umbrella.
