This is my personal GitHub — home to side projects, experiments, prototypes, half-finished ideas, and the occasional thing that accidentally becomes very real.
I’ve been building software (and companies) professionally for a long time, but I still really enjoy poking at new ideas, tools, and workflows just to see how they behave.
- Software engineer and product builder
- Working with Ruby on Rails for ~20 years
- One of the original engineers behind TeamSnap
- Founder of a profitable SaaS company
- Arena announcer for the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes
By day (and many nights), I build and operate production systems. In between, I like to explore new tech, improve developer workflows, and build tools that make things a little smoother or more fun.
You’ll find things like:
- Personal projects and experiments
- Prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- DevOps and CI/CD tooling
- API integrations and automation
- Electron apps and small utilities
- Stuff I built because I was curious (or challenged)
Some repos are polished. Some are rough. All of them taught me something.
Lately, I’ve been especially interested in building against the Bluesky / AT Protocol (ATProto) ecosystem — exploring decentralized social systems, identity, feeds, and what developer ergonomics look like outside of traditional platforms.
Expect experiments, SDK poking, and “what happens if…” projects in this area.
Backend & Data
- Ruby on Rails (long-term relationship)
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL
Infra & Automation
- AWS (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM)
- Docker & Docker Compose
- GitHub Actions
- Monitoring, cost optimization, and “why is this doing that?”
Apps & Tooling
- Electron
- Playwright / Cypress
- Slack & Microsoft Teams integrations
- Internal tools that might could have been products
When I’m not writing code, you’ll probably find me at the rink.
I’m the arena announcer for the Carolina Hurricanes, and I love combining tech, live events, and fan experiences whenever I can. Some of that crossover shows up here too.
