I build practical software and knowledge systems around AI, developer tooling, and everyday problems.

Tools

  • Codex Usage Menubar — macOS menu-bar app for Codex CLI's 5-hour and 7-day usage windows, reset times, and credit balance. Working: live polling, reset countdowns, launch at login. Fixed a lingering Login Items button and slow reset refresh, added troubleshooting docs. Universal build (Apple Silicon and Intel); install from source for now — a signed, notarized download is pending.
  • Web2MD — Chrome extension that converts an article to Markdown locally, then reports what didn't make it through. Working: article and full-page modes, content check, copy or download. Prepping for a Chrome Web Store 1.0.0 launch; added a required CI status check for branch protection.

Projects

  • Painpoint Atlas — turns low-rated app reviews into evidence-backed pain points and testable business opportunities. Working: App Store and Google Play collection, evidence extraction, cross-app clustering, Markdown reports and a dashboard, refreshed daily by automation. Not yet: social platforms and startup-failure sources.
  • Perch — a local-first macOS companion that keeps one task in focus at a time. Early preview: desktop companion, local storage, quick scheduling, and single-task due reminders work. Stable since the recent localization pass; no changes this week. Not yet: quiet hours, configurable bird behavior, a signed public download.
  • ClaimFlow — manages promotional claims through WhatsApp, with AI-assisted receipt review. Rebuild v1 in progress on Next.js, Supabase, and the official WhatsApp Cloud API; the original runtime stays as the rollback path until cutover is validated. No commits since the rebuild kickoff.
  • Finance — a bilingual knowledge base for economics, companies, markets, and investing research. Private, ongoing. Quiet since the initial notes were published.

Notes

  • Engineering — bilingual notes and runbooks on troubleshooting, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, and operations. Actively updated: the site was rebuilt as a density-gradient timeline this week, plus topics-page, search, and per-article rendering fixes. Read online.

I like working from first principles, keeping systems small, and documenting what I learn.
