Good idea to add a note on that.
I would, however, propose to
- Rank this lower
- Use clearer language
- Keep this simple (no API calls)
What do you think?

| - For layer/data collection content specific questions please contact the responsible organziation. The responsible organization's contact can be found via the geocat.ch metadata linked to the layer ID (e.g. via Get Layer Metadata request, fields dataOwner and idGeoCat or via map.geo.admin.ch via infobox the link to geocat.ch). [Here's an example with Get Layer Metadata](https://api3.geo.admin.ch/rest/services/ech/MapServer?searchText=ch.bafu.bundesinventare-jagdbanngebiete) |

I have three concerns:
- This should not be the first point on the list. The Google Group should be the most prominent because the Tech Docs are primarily about how to interact with our services, not about the data. So my suggestion would be to have this as the second last point (before "For other inquiries...").
- I find expressions like "For layer/data collection content specific questions" hard to understand. Shorter sentences would help to make this more accessible.
- How does the
dataOwner/idGeoCathelp to get the contact details? You could probably use that to build a program that gets you the contact details from geocat but I find that too technical. This page is to give a short overview where to ask questions, not on how to build software.
How about this instead?
For questions about a specific layer or data collection, contact the data owners directly. The data owner's contact details are available on geocat.ch. For each layer, the map viewer has a link link to the corresponding geocat page in the layer’s infobox. For example, for
ch.bafu.bundesinventare-jagdbanngebiete, the corresponding geocat page with the contact details is here.

Thanks for the feedback. My 2cents:
to 1) I don't agree with this, because a) basically geodata content matters in context of an sdi and b) because we once decided not to promote the google group channel too much anymore in course of the new approach we want to go for helpdesk dispatching
to 2) and 3): I was trying from a technician's perspective. Because the audience here will (probably) mostly be technical people wanting to use the API rather than coming from the frontend
For the proposal: I can live with that as well, although this is the frontend approach how to find the correct contacts
Other feedback?

I agree with @mariokeusen's first point.
However, I think @asteiner-swisstopo suggested text is much better. I don't think an API query in the “Get help” section is really ideal.
I would also delete the exemple: For example, for ch.bafu.bundesinventare-jagdbanngebiete, the corresponding geocat page with the contact details is here.
Let's keep the text as simple as possible 👌
