Watch History & Quick Watched

A Seanime Extension by gametimeakhtab

A chronological watch history drawer with convenient right-click context menu actions for marking anime episodes as watched and manga chapters as read.

🌟 Features

1. 🎬 Mark Anime Seasons as Watched (Cycle-Safe)

  • Cycle Completion Stop Guard: When an anime has finished its season/cycle (marked as completed or all episodes watched), the extension stops and does not advance or increment past the total episodes. This prevents AniList from erroneously triggering an unwanted rewatch cycle.
  • Three-Dot Dropdown Menu (Anime Page):
    • Mark Season as Watched: Safely mark all episodes in a season as watched and complete the entry.
    • Mark Next Episode as Watched: Instantly mark the next episode as watched (automatically stops at the season maximum).
    • Remove from Watch History: Remove the current anime directly from your local watch history.
    • Open Watch History: Instant one-click shortcut to launch the Watch History drawer directly from the anime entry.
  • Anime Page Button: A dedicated Mark Ep Watched button for quickly marking episodes as watched.
  • Right-Click Context Menu (Everywhere):
    • Online Streaming Grid Items: Right-click episodes in Online Streaming, Media Stream, Torrent Stream, or Debrid to access Mark Episode as Watched, Mark Season as Watched, and Remove from Watch History.
    • Episode Cards: Mark individual episodes as watched, mark season as watched, or remove from watch history in local library or torrent lists.
    • Anime Cards: Mark the next episode as watched, mark the season as watched, or remove from watch history from home or library cards.

2. 🛡️ AniList Rate-Limit Protection (Max 90 Req/Min)

  • Zero-Network Tray Rendering: History items and drawer renders use instant in-memory cached collections (animeCollectionMap and animeMetadataCache), eliminating repetitive network GraphQL requests that trigger AniList HTTP 429 rate limits.
  • Action Cooldown & Debounce: Prevents rapid spam clicking from bursting through the AniList rate limit quota.
  • Graceful Error Handling: In the event AniList is temporarily rate-limited, user-friendly toast messages provide clear guidance instead of generic errors.

3. 📖 Manga Support (Mark as Read & Complete Seasons)

  • Three-Dot Dropdown Menu (Manga Page):
    • Mark Manga / Season as Completed: Mark all chapters in a manga or season as completed.
    • Mark Next Chapter as Read: Instantly mark the next chapter as read.
  • Manga Page Button: A dedicated Mark Chapter Read button for quick access.
  • Manga Card Context Menu:
    • Right-click a manga card to access Mark Next Chapter as Read and Mark Manga as Completed.

4. ⏱️ Strict Chronological Watch History

  • Watch history entries are sorted by their exact watch timestamps, with the most recently watched items displayed first.
  • The latest watched anime always appears at the top of the history list.

5. 🧹 Watched Items & Rewatching Filter Fix

  • Completed Items: Anime already marked as watched or completed on AniList will no longer clutter the active list.
  • Rewatching Support: Only unwatched episodes from the current rewatch cycle appear in the active list.
  • Active Only vs. All Toggle: Switch between Active and All views directly from the drawer header.
  • Drawer Actions:
    • Mark Ep [N] Watched
    • Mark Season Watched
    • Go to Anime
    • Remove
