Envelope is an open-schema platform for building and running composable AI agent teams.

What it does

• Define agent teams as declarative .envelope.json files against the open Envelope schema (Apache 2.0, registered on SchemaStore)
• Teams are composable — agents supervise other agents, each with explicit access policies
• Human-in-the-loop gates before irreversible actions
• Trigger runs on schedule, webhook, or on-demand
• Connect from Claude, ChatGPT, or Claude Code via 16 MCP tools at https://mcp.openenvelope.org/mcp
• Open schema with npm package (@openenvelope/schema) and TypeScript types
