Thanks for disclosing the affiliation this time. To keep reviews consistent, submissions here are checked by AI against the criteria in contributing.md, and I go over the result before posting.

I'm closing this one and #20. ScanChess was declined in #15 four weeks ago with a suggested return around January 2027, and nothing that decision rested on has changed:

  • Eligibility signals (website, 2 needed): scanchess.com was registered on 2026-01-13, so it's about 9 months online, not 12. The only discussion I found is the team's own Show HN from 2026-09-09 (1 point, no comments), which doesn't count as organic. That's 0 of 2.
  • Description: the entry still opens with "Free", but scanning is 10 credits after sign-up, then Pro at $4.99/month or Pro+ at $19.99/month. Only the viewers are free.
  • The PR says a maintainer asked for a PR on [Suggestion] ScanChess #20. There's no comment on [Suggestion] ScanChess #20, so please don't put that in a submission.

The scoresheet-to-PGN part is still a real gap in the list, and I'd look at it again once the site has 12 months behind it plus one more signal (organic discussion, an active community, or coverage by a chess publication). When you come back, please open a single new PR that links #15 and #21, fills in the template, and uses a description that says scanning is credit-based.
