Routine CI took about 64 minutes and reported type errors without failing. Documentation/package builds could include generated environments, and development containers used outdated installation paths. This change makes maintained typing fatal, runs one fast mandatory suite automatically, and validates locked Python 3.13 builds and containers.

  • Keep the existing required check name. Remove duplicate automatic base/mandatory runs; move 35 expensive spawned-training cases and full runtime/optional qualification to the manually dispatched PyTorch Full Qualification workflow. Preserve those tests and their qualification guards. Cancel superseded PR runs and upload compact fast-suite artifacts.
  • Use ty 0.0.84, the latest published release verified during this work. Fix all 285 maintained diagnostics, including deployment checker types and test fixtures. Exclude historical archives and sealed reproduction evidence; retain the existing optional unresolved-import policy. Add focused FedDF input and KNOT numeric-boundary checks. FedDF custom strategies must subclass its strategy family.
  • Build docs in a locked environment. Build/rebuild distributions with explicit constraints, verify sdist bytes against Git and wheel metadata, and import the installed wheel outside the checkout. Exclude generated docs, environments, archives, and CI outputs from distribution payloads.
  • Pin CUDA/uv container inputs and align native libraries with the locked PyTorch wheel. Keep the container environment outside bind mounts, preserve launcher arguments and exit status, and verify CPU/native operations, CLI behavior, bytecode prevention, and container cleanup.

Validation: independent implementation reviews accepted the source changes. On the integrated source, 1,588 fast tests passed in 217 seconds, with 105 intentional runtime/slow deselections; configured ty and Ruff passed in a fresh locked dev environment. Typing changes also passed 247 focused integration cases, 15 selected real runtime cases, and 13 new boundary cases. The updated package checker passed actual build, sdist rebuild, installation, and provenance checks.

The preceding full Linux qualification passed base/mandatory/runtime/model-search/evaluator checks; its artifacts were independently audited. Earlier container and docs/package runs passed actual Linux checks, and the exact-commit public documentation preview was verified. Final revision 17c7afc passed all hosted checks. The automatic PyTorch job completed in 6 minutes 54 seconds with 1,588 passing tests and fatal configured ty/Ruff passing. Root verified downloaded source bindings, all 1,496 sdist source files, wheel/rebuild payloads, and 23 container command outcomes. Fast CI does not claim full qualification. No GPU or arm64-container qualification or package/registry publication is claimed.

The additional legacy-example retirements and remaining documentation work will follow separately. Detailed source-bound evidence is under evidence/2026-refresh/.

Refined concrete fixtures, optional state and callback signatures without changing production APIs or adding suppressions. FedDF validates sized proxies and its aggregation strategy; KNOT preserves scalar client/cluster IDs and rejects incomplete or nonfinite clustering inputs.

Validation: ty 0.0.84 tests/examples, Linux target and preserved helper profile: All checks passed. Ruff import checks and git diff checks passed; 13 focused example boundary regressions passed. Initial focused core run passed 667 cases and exposed a duplicate FedDF test-loader class identity, corrected by constructing the actual server module strategy; corrected integration run is reported separately.
