Aggregated NCDA scoreboard: historical months lose the children who were under two at the time #2261
The scoreboard endpoint (hedley_ncda_generate_results_data_for_restful) selects only persons born in the last three years, measured from the day of the request. The app shows months from November 2023 on and counts children under two per month, from the birth date inside each record.
A child born in June 2022 was under two from November 2023 to May 2024 and belongs in those columns, but a request made today excludes them before the app sees anything. Every historical column loses its older children, both from the denominator and from the numerators, and the values of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 views change every day as more children age past the moving bound.
How to see it: open the aggregated NCDA report for a district on ihangane, page back to 2024, note the "Children under 2" row, then compare with the same view opened a month later.
On ihangane today, 61,044 persons with a scoreboard record were born after November 2021 and could appear in some displayed month; 31,842 pass the request-date bound.
