Nader Adel

Backend engineer in Cairo. PHP and Laravel, a year and a half of it in production.

My main platform is the group CRM at The Address Investments: a Laravel 12 modular monolith of 127 bounded contexts, deployed for four group companies, that sales, HR, finance, marketing, recruitment, learning, supply chain and project management all run on. Around 5,000 people use it every day. I take features back and front, from schema and queued jobs to the Next.js screens that consume them.

The integrations are the part I'd talk about first. I wrote the Odoo sync behind a mobile sales app now live with around 50 field agents, and the Bayut property-portal integration: a readiness check that reports every blocker before a publish is attempted, queued publish and unpublish jobs, and an hourly reconcile sweep because Bayut has no webhooks. 37 test files on that one.

The work I like most is the load-bearing kind. Making two systems agree with each other. Keeping a listing's status truthful when the other side never calls back. Working out what a state machine should be before writing it.

Day to day: PHP · Laravel · PostgreSQL · MySQL · Redis · queues · REST APIs · WebSockets · TypeScript · Next.js · Odoo · Bayut API

Also working with: Node.js (Express) · Learning right now: NestJS · Docker · CI/CD · AWS

Most of what I've built is in private company repositories. The repos pinned below are mine:

  • car-tracker — Laravel API for a car's services, fuel, trips, documents and reminders. 100 routes, 32 test files, Filament admin, deployed to Forge on push. Reminders fire by date or odometer through one whereColumn query plus an OdometerAdvanced event.
  • gym-app — membership and class-booking API with a Vue 3 + Inertia front end. Repository pattern behind interfaces, policies, Sanctum token abilities synced from role permissions, Pest feature tests.
  • digital-wallet — bank-statement parsing behind a BankTransactionParser interface with per-bank parsers and queued webhook processing.

Each README explains what the project is for, one decision I'd defend, and what I'd change.

Open to mid-level backend roles. Cairo on-site or hybrid, or fully remote for companies outside Egypt.
