Notes
Merge order with #3354 (log collector mixin): both PRs edit the same lines in recipes/registry.yaml, the registerCheck list in checks.go, vuln-scan-images.yaml, the mixin list in docs/contributor/recipe.md, both goldens and container-images.md, and both make the same count renumbering. Git may merge the identical renumbering cleanly and leave every count one short, so whichever lands second needs to rebase, regenerate both goldens and renumber again.
| | `CheckNVSentinelMongoDBCoherent` | `nvsentinel-mongodb` is usable by NVSentinel: NVSentinel is deployed, TLS is `requireTLS`, sharding is off, the `$external` x509 app user has `readWrite` on `HealthEventsDatabase` and the `nvsentinelTTLIndex` role, `psmdb-operator` is deployed with `watchAllNamespaces: false` and `disableTelemetry: true`, and `crVersion` and `initImage` are at the operator image's minor. Dependencies are read from the declared component set, so a `bundlers=` subset still sees them. Rejects `--dynamic` on any path it verifies. Wired at `severity: error`. | | ||
| | `CheckNVSentinelSlurmDrainMonitorRequiresSlinky` | NVSentinel's `slurm-drain-monitor` is not enabled without `slinky-slurm` (absent or disabled), or watching a blank namespace or one `slinky-slurm` does not deploy to: the monitor reads the `SlurmNodeStateDrain` condition off Slinky worker pods, which only `slinky-slurm`'s NodeSets create, so it would run and never see a pod. Rejects `--dynamic` on the monitor's toggle and namespace and on `slinky-slurm`'s `enabled`, even with the monitor off. Wired at `severity: error`. | | ||
| | `CheckNVSentinelSlurmCustomDrainCoherent` | NVSentinel drains Slurm nodes through the slinky-drainer plugin: a recipe with `slinky-slurm` and a live (not dry-run) `fault-remediation` has `node-drainer.customDrain` on, while quarantine alone passes; `customDrain` is only on with a live `node-drainer`, a boolean `global.dryRun` that is false, `slinky-slurm`, the `slinky-drainer-crds` component, and the `slinky-drainer` component in NVSentinel's namespace watching the namespace `slinky-slurm` deploys to; and its values match the plugin's contract (DrainRequest kind, resource and `DrainComplete` condition, the `slinky-drain-template` template, NVSentinel's namespace, a positive whole-seconds `timeout`, and empty `userNamespaces` and `podDrainPolicies` with an empty `nodeSelector`, since a scope could leave slurmd nodes on pod eviction); and the slurmd NodeSet and every Slurm control pod in the Slurm namespace (slinky-slurm's controller, REST API, login and enabled accounting, and `slurm-accounting-mariadb` there) render non-empty node selectors (modelled on the bundler's order: `--set`, then node-selector injection unless the overlay opts out with an empty or null value, then `--set-json`), each control pod's giving some label key a different value from slurmd's, since the plugin waits for every Ready pod in that namespace on a drained node to report Slurm DRAIN. Rejects `--dynamic` on any path a rule that can still fire reads, so a monitoring-only Slurm recipe keeps its `--dynamic` paths. Wired at `severity: error`. | | ||
| | `CheckNVSentinelEventExporterCoherent` | NVSentinel's Event Exporter can deliver: `sink.endpoint` and `oidc.tokenUrl` are `http` or `https` URLs with a host that is not an `example.com`, `.org` or `.net` placeholder; `oidc.clientId`, `oidc.scope`, `metadata.cluster` (not the chart's `my-cluster`) and `metadata.environment` are set by AICR's values as strings; no metadata value holds a double quote, backslash or control character other than tab, and every metadata key is a TOML bare key, since the chart writes them into its config unescaped; both `insecureSkipVerify` settings are `false`; and `oidcSecretName` is a valid Secret name. A no-op unless `global.eventExporter.enabled`; then rejects `--dynamic` on any `event-exporter` value. Wired at `severity: error`. | |

suggestion (non-blocking): The CheckNVSentinelEventExporterCoherent row still describes the URL rule from before the rework: it omits the .example TLD placeholder and the in-cluster limit on plain http.
A contributor reading this table expects http://idp.corp.com/oauth2/token or https://events.corp.example/... to bundle, and the gate refuses both. component-catalog.md:1056 and the godoc already state the current rule; this row is the only place with the old one.
Bring the row in line with component-catalog.md:1056.

nit (non-blocking): Two of the gate messages added since 4d1ee72 point the operator at the wrong fix.
At L146, oidcSecretName goes through eventExporterString, so an empty value prints "no recipe sets it" (L166-167), though the mixin sets it and the real effect is that the Deployment cannot mount the Secret; a value with " prints that the chart writes it into its TOML config (L174-175), though the chart uses it only as secretName:. At L244, http://otel-collector.observability:4318/..., a <svc>.<ns> name that resolves in-cluster, is rejected as "outside the cluster" with no hint that <svc>.<ns>.svc would pass.
Give oidcSecretName its own not-set and not-a-string messages (the DNS-1123 check already covers "), and name the accepted forms in the L244 message, e.g. "plain http is accepted only for a single-label name, *.svc or *.svc.cluster.local; use https or one of those".
…nder test #3346 replaced requireHelmForObservabilityRender with helmtest.RequireBinary in every render test on main; this one predates it, so the package no longer compiled. Signed-off-by: Varun Ramesh <varamesh@nvidia.com>

Summary
Adds the opt-in
nvsentinel-event-exportermixin. NVSentinel's Event Exporter sends health events from the datastore to an external HTTP endpoint as CloudEvents, authenticated with an OAuth 2.0 client-credentials token.Motivation / Context
Health events stay inside the cluster today. Teams that want them centrally, for cross-cluster views, failure trends, ticketing or retention, have to fork the recipe. This implements option 1 from the issue: AICR owns the component, the Secret contract and the bundle-time inputs, and qualifies the wiring, not the destination.

oidcSecretName: event-exporter-oidc-secret(keyoidc-client-secret, created by the operator before deploying); bothinsecureSkipVerify: false; and the filterevent.recommendedAction != 'NONE' || event.isHealthy == true, which exports actionable faults and recoveries and drops events that recommend no action. A CEL test pins this choice.--setat bundle time: the sink endpoint, OIDC token URL, client ID, scope, cluster name and environment.CheckNVSentinelEventExporterCoherent. It refuses a bundle when the sink or token URL is missing, isn'thttp/https, or is the chart'sexample.complaceholder; when the client ID, scope, cluster (including the chart'smy-clusterplaceholder) or environment is unset; when a value contains a character the chart's unescaped config interpolation can't carry, or a metadata key isn't a TOML bare key; or when either certificate check is turned off or the Secret name is invalid.CheckNVSentinelRemediationPipelineCoherentnow treats the exporter as a datastore reader.idis generated per publish, so receivers should deduplicate onsourceplus the wholedata.healthEvent; retries stop at the five-minute backoff cap (about 9 attempts over roughly 9 minutes, not 30), after which the exporter restarts from its resume token; the resume token lives in the datastore'sResumeTokenscollection, and the chart'sexporter.resumeTokenvalues are never read.event-exporterrollout rules. Those rules are inert when the exporter is absent, and no recipe values change.Testing
Tested locally on Kind, Mokka (simulated H100s with the GPU Operator) and KWOK. On Kind, the e2e (11/11) installs the observe step with this mixin beside an in-cluster Python mock that plays both the OAuth token endpoint and the CloudEvents sink. It confirmed that the exporter takes a client-credentials token with the Secret's client secret, posts with that bearer token, exports an actionable fault and a recovery while the default filter drops a no-action event, carries the cluster metadata in each CloudEvent, and stores its resume token in
HealthEventsDatabase.ResumeTokens. With backfill off, an event stored while the exporter was stopped arrived after restart, proving resume-token recovery. On Mokka, real monitor events (XID 79 and XID 48 from syslog, through the datastore) reached the authenticated sink, and during a sink outage the exporter saw HTTP 503 and delivered the same fault after recovery. The full CLI flow also passed on Mokka:recipe, query, bundle, verify, mirror list, snapshotbefore and after withdiff,deploy.sh,upgrade-check(from a recipe and--from cluster --deployer helm), andvalidate --phase deployment, which passes, fails namingevent-exporterwhen its rollout is broken, and passes once restored. KWOK passed on the EKS H100 leaf, and all seven deployers bundle the exporter offline. The mock implements only enough of the client-credentials flow to check the exporter's side (a fixed token, plainhttp), so real OIDC providers, signed or expiring tokens, sink-side token validation and TLS are not exercised, nor is the full DCGM GPU stack. Unit tests (including a CEL test of the filter), the live chart render, make bom-docsandmake qualify(85.8% coverage) pass.Risk Assessment
Rollout notes: Opt-in. Nothing changes for recipes that don't compose the mixin. Operators must create the OIDC client Secret before deploying.
