The first part of the Forsaken Kingdom update series.

What's included:

  • Pegasus Boots (replaces the Kokiri Boots upgrade)
  • Spirit Tunic and it's Amulet of Energy ability (life-steal)
  • New life-draining curse in the Forsaken Kingdom region (the Spirit Tunic protects you from it)
  • Amber Earrings (allows Hookshot/Longshot in the Forsaken Kingdom region again)
  • Reworked Equipment subscreen
  • Every warp song can be upgraded for a secondary warp location by hitting it's respective Owl Statue
  • Goron Elder who lets you into the Forsaken Kingdom region
  • Some extra Pieces of Heart
  • Some extra lore and cutscenes
  • Woodfall intro cutscene
  • Pause Screen "Info" prompts
  • Forsaken Kingdom, Gloomy Graveyard, Beneath the Graveyard, Purple Ice Cavern
  • Some new enemies (Garo, Bad Bat)
  • Plenty of new actors used in the new scenes so far
  • New fog effect present in the cursed state of the Forsaken Kingdom
  • Igor no longer drops a small key to get into the Ancient Hollow, instead Fado will appear near the lit torch in the Cave Passage, and the torch will be unlit until Igor has his Pictobox back (Fado will guide you to it)
  • Roc's Feather can now be used when running/moving, but you still have to be on the ground
  • Kakariko Potion Shop now sells Shield Potions instead of Deku Nuts in Child Quest
  • Replaced Bombable Boulders in the Lost Woods leading into the Forbidden Woods with a Kokiri Kid blocking the path
  • Several fixes and smaller adjustments to previous content

Note about the warp songs: The enhanced Nocturne of Shadow is an exception and unlocked through a cutscene event in Beneath the Gravevard, and the Prelude of Light enhanced version is still missing since Stone Tower isn't implemented yet.

What's not included yet:

  • Stone Tower (Temple), Condemned Castle, Beneath the Well, Royal Vault
  • Great Fairy upgrade
  • Rebalancing
  • Cane of Someria
  • Intro cutscenes for most of the CQ areas/dungeons
  • Relocated Light Arrow and Light Medallion
  • Extra Quiver and Bullet Bag
  • Even more custom actors (such as enemies)

Regarding those "several fixes and smaller adjustments"

  • Fixed shared switch flag in the Goron Mines which caused the jaw in the main room to be skipped
  • Waterfall in room 1 in the Goron Mines is now bigger so you can't roll/dash past it (also fixed a shared flag causing it to be skipped)
  • Overhauled bits in the SRAM for new CQ content (cleaner, less issues, more optimized in space)
  • Several fixes to the custom Item Editor (which required the overhauled bits in the SRAM)
  • Fixed the environment soundbank to properly support up to 512 samples
  • King Deku now uses a hitbox twice the size of a Buff Deku instead of 200 times the original size
  • Some text typo fixes
  • Fixes for using equipment items (on D-Pad / C, such as boots)
  • Added an empty scene header list to several scenes to make them load within SharpOcarina (and other fixes so it can load in SharpOcarina)
  • Fixed time settings and removed wind settings for the Ancient Grove Shop
  • Fixed Igor to only set his textid when in his close proximity, to avoid him from overriding the textid for other NPCs (the innkeeper)
  • Potential fix for the MM Jump Animation to still be able to grab a ledge
  • Force text alpha to 255 for textboxes (fixes issue with text being dimmed or invisible caused by title cards)
  • King Zora will stay unfrozen when unfrozen in Child Quest
  • Can now push the Gravestone in Lake Hylia after the timeskip in Child Quest
  • Fixed Dark Link's health and health calculations to account for the reworked damage values
  • Fixed issue with the Gilded Sword and MM Mirror Shield using wrong coloring on certain emulators
  • Moved the SHOW_RAM and SHOW_FPS from the POLY_XLU_DISP to the OVERLAY_DISP to prevent freezing
  • Optimized particle effects rendering (less cost for the XLU buffer) which could prevent the Goron Mines from freezing
  • Optimized the flame throwers in the Goron Mines to require less buffer usage
  • Some refactoring for the new CQ code

To be continued later in v0.6.1.
