When using Kimi Code CLI via the VS Code Extension, the approval dialog appears inside the Kimi webview panel. However, if VS Code is minimized or hidden behind other applications, users do not notice that an approval is pending. This causes the workflow to stall until the user manually checks the Kimi panel.
Proposed Solution
When a ToolCall requires user approval (i.e., yoloMode is disabled), please trigger a standard VS Code notification using vscode.window.showInformationMessage() or similar API. For example:
"Kimi: Approval required. Please check the Kimi Code panel."
[Open Kimi]
Clicking "Open Kimi" should focus the Kimi webview panel (kimi.webview.focus).
Benefits
Users can immediately notice approval requests even when VS Code is not focused.
Reduces workflow interruption caused by missed approvals.
Keeps the existing approval dialog in the webview; the notification acts only as a non-intrusive alert.
Current Workaround
Enable kimi.yoloMode, which auto-approves all tool calls but reduces security/control.
