Hi!
I'm Matthias Piplak, a part time PowerShell developer focused on building practical automation tools and utilities for IT administration and systems management. This is where I share both my professional PowerShell work and exploratory projects in other areas.
My primary work involves developing PowerShell functions and scripts that solve real-world IT challenges. I believe in writing clean, well-documented code that other administrators can understand and maintain.
PowerShell Modules
A published PowerShell module available on the PowerShell Gallery for Active Directory management and daily sysadmin operations. This module represents my approach to packaging reusable PowerShell functionality for the broader IT community.

Additional PowerShell projects and functions are being organized for future publication.
Exploratory Projects
Beyond PowerShell, I occasionally explore other development areas with AI assistance:
System Audio Recorder – A Windows desktop application for professional-quality system audio capture. Built with Python and CustomTkinter, it features real-time audio processing, automatic gain control, and comprehensive metadata tagging. This project demonstrates my interest in user-facing applications and audio processing.
My Approach
For PowerShell development, I focus on creating modular, reusable functions that follow best practices and integrate well with existing IT workflows. Each function is designed to be both powerful for advanced users and accessible for those learning PowerShell.
For exploratory projects, I work collaboratively with AI to accelerate development while maintaining high standards for code quality and user experience. I'm particularly interested in understanding how AI assistance can enhance the development process without compromising on documentation or architecture quality.
What's Next
I'm actively working on expanding my PowerShell module collection, with several utility functions in development for common IT administration tasks. On the exploratory side, I'm interested in projects involving system utilities, productivity tools, and media processing—always with an eye toward practical applications.
Get in Touch
If you have questions about any project, find issues, or want to discuss potential improvements, feel free to open an issue in the relevant repository. For PowerShell-related discussions or collaboration opportunities, I'm always interested in connecting with other IT professionals.
