- Inclusivity. No discrimination, ever. Everyone is welcome.
- Curiosity. Stay open-minded and willing to learn.
The following are examples of behavior that will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- Sharing malicious or unsafe code.
- Spamming, trolling, or intentional disruption.
- Using IJAI resources for illegal or unethical activities.
- Disrespecting contributors’ time or work.
- Use clear and constructive language in discussions and pull requests.
- Respect different perspectives and technical opinions.
- Attribute ideas properly — give credit where it’s due.
- Protect confidentiality when necessary.
- Be kind to newcomers — everyone starts somewhere.
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:
- Email conduct@ijai.org (or replace with your contact).
- Describe what happened, including links or screenshots if possible.
- Reports will be handled confidentially and respectfully.
Violations may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent exclusion from the IJAI community, depending on the severity and frequency of the misconduct.
The IJAI core team reserves the right to make decisions in the best interest of the community.
This Code of Conduct is inspired by Contributor Covenant v2.1, adapted for the IJAI project’s philosophy:
