@shankari Sorry for the confusion about the other PR, but is it possible to get this PR looked at this morning? I haven't been able to make progress on updating everest-framework's test target name due to this PR being outstanding. |

Until tests can be run successfully (everest-framework depends on liblog), removing dependencies can help simplify our efforts at automating builds and tests.
To be clear, this is not a change to add CI/CD capability to this repo (presumably a different PR will come later). It is just to allow a repo that leverages this project to be able to successfully run and build its tests.
