Create a dispute resolution system that manages trader disputes, provides arbitration workflow, and ensures fair conflict resolution with evidence collection and decision tracking.

Description

Trading disagreements need a structured resolution process. This module manages dispute filing, evidence collection, arbitrator assignment, investigation, and settlement decisions.

Requirements

• Dispute creation with classification (non-delivery, wrong amount, fraud, system error)
• Evidence collection and documentation system
• Automated evidence analysis and validation
• Arbitrator pool management and assignment
• Structured arbitration workflow
• Communication channel for dispute parties
• Decision documentation and reasoning
• Appeal process with escalation
• Resolution enforcement (refunds, settlements)
• Dispute history and analytics
• Protection against frivolous disputes

Acceptance Criteria

• Dispute entity and workflow models created in database
• POST /api/disputes creates new dispute with classification
• Evidence upload endpoint with file type validation
• GET /api/disputes/:id returns dispute status and details
• Arbitrators assigned based on expertise and availability
• Automated pattern detection: similar disputes flagged for review
• Decision enforcement executes remediation (refunds, reversals)
• Appeal process allows one escalation per dispute
• Dispute timeline meets SLA: initial review <24hrs, resolution <14 days
• Unit tests for dispute workflow logic (>85% coverage)
• E2E tests validate complete dispute lifecycle
