Mockup Idea Generation

Members: All members of team 1
The goal of this meeting was to get the team in a room with a whiteboard and start working through some ideas of how we might mockup the UI of our application.
- The pages that would need to be designed/implemented were identified from the user flow diagram
- Landing
- Sign Up
- Login
- Personal Profile
- Search
- View Project
- Each page was then broken down into its (likely) individual features (except for some basic pages like Landing or Login). Each of these page's individual features was then 'designed' using the following process:
- Each member of the team had to mockup 3 different ideas for how that feature might be designed. Only 1 minute was given to do each of these mockup ideas, and the mockups were done using pen and sticky notes (except for Bhala, who used his Surface).
- After 3 minutes, the team put their sticky notes up on the whiteboard and each member went in turn to briefly explain what is that they drew and why they drew (again, briefly).
- After all of the page's features were mocked up, each member of the team silently voted on which mockup concept they liked best for each feature by drawing an assigned symbol on their sticky note of choice. Each member could vote on at most 2 different concepts per feature per page.
- Since we ran out of time by the voting point, we took pictures of all we had generated and collected everything together to be make some conclusions the next time we met up. The pictures are collected below.
- The following Monday, May 13, the team got together for a couple minutes to 'finalize' the decisions on which concepts to keep and which to throw away. The results of these decisions can also be found below.
