Version mutations left durable storage fixtures with a stale CRC, causing rejection before the intended migration path. Preserve framing during fixture edits, exercise unframed V16 migration, and assert whole-image preservation for Bitcoin-only refusal. Reproduced the original V16 test failure against firmware b9b88955f; all five corrected migration cases pass on its full and Bitcoin-only emulators. Firmware pin integration follows in a separate stacked fork PR.
