As Firm works its way up the layers of abstraction, I've been finding using coding agents an increasingly enjoyable way of interacting with my workspace.
This PR introduces an MCP server that can be hosted locally from the CLI using
firm mcp. This brings some of the same functionality of the CLI into chatbot assistant territory, so you can make validated updates to your workspace using Claude Desktop and similar. It focuses on local-first. It's possible to host the Firm MCP server remotely, but requires you to bring your own setup in terms of auth, security and compute. I will be experimenting with this on my own cloud setup next.
