What are you trying to do?

Hello,

I am not 100% sure on the repercussions of this, but would it be possible for the Commerce requirement to be optional? Obviously without it you could only setup free events. (on the front-end), but it would be great to have the event management without the need for Commerce.

It can't really be done I'm afraid, the customer handling is all through Commerce, so even if you were able to "fake it" by creating a purchased ticket programmatically, you'd still be missing customer information

We are looking into other options to swap out Commerce, but it's a bit of an undertaking adding that much e-commerce handling to the plugin. So it's certainly a valid open ticket, but not quite sure on how to approach it just yet.
