Description
When I open a video in the Teldrive web UI, the player seems to use 16:9 by default.
This works fine for normal widescreen videos, but videos with a different shape, such as vertical phone videos or older 4:3 videos, do not look right when first opened. I have to manually change the aspect ratio from the player settings every time.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Teldrive web UI.
- Open a video that is not 16:9, for example a vertical video.
- Check how the video is displayed.
Actual behavior
The video opens with a 16:9 aspect ratio by default.
Expected behavior
The video should open using its normal/default aspect ratio, so vertical or non-widescreen videos display correctly without needing to change the setting manually.
Why this matters
Many videos from phones are vertical or have different aspect ratios. Having 16:9 forced by default makes those videos inconvenient to watch in the web UI.
