Directory Not Being Recognized as Git Repository

I tried opening a Git project (kubernetes) and Supacode is failing to detect it.

Does it need to have a remote branch? That might be it.

hmm @jonathanlaniado , I tried with a fresh empty repo with no remote and able to add fine.
