DMM commands only work when the device is switched to/through the DMM mode manually first.
:DMM:MEAS? - get the current measurement readout:DMM:CONFIGURE:VOLTAGE DC/AC → switch to voltage measurement, switch to DC or AC mode
:DMM:CONFIGURE:VOLTAGE? returns it out again, or error if not in voltage mode
:DMM:CONFIGURE:CURRENT DC/AC → switch to current measurement, switch to DC or AC mode
:DMM:CONFIGURE:CURRENT? returns it out again, or error if not in current mode

:DMM:RANGE ON → cycle through ranges (for non-voltage/current):DMM:RANGE V/MV/A/MA → set the respective range (for voltage/current)
:DMM:AUTO? → range readout:DMM:AUTO ON/OFF → toggle automatic ranging on/off
