Set up formatters and linters in CI

Currently, we only check the formatting of the Rust code. However, to make our life easier when resolving merge conflicts, we should have formatters for all other code too: Python, Java, XML, JSON, Markdown, etc.

Python formatting and linting is handled by ruff, but the others are lacking.

  • format: Palantir Java format (via Spotless Maven plugin)
  • lint: errorprone
• XML:
  • format: yq (-P or --prettyPrint)
• JSON:
  • format: yq or jq (jq "." file.json > better.json)

  • check typos with https://github.com/crate-ci/typos
