Hello Rick,
First, thank you for creating ESPSomfy—it’s an impressive project.
I’m trying to use it with a Japanese Somfy RTS installation and have reached a point where I’m not sure whether I’m dealing with an unsupported regional variant or whether I’ve missed a configuration option. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction.
Hardware
- Freenove ESP32-S3 WROOM Lite (16 MB Flash)
- E07-M11010 CC1101 transceiver module
- ESPSomfy-RTS v2.4.6
Somfy Equipment
I am located in Japan and am using an official Somfy Situo 1 RTS Pure remote.
The label on the back of the remote is:
Situo 1 RTS PURE 426 KK
(see attached photo)
Problem
The ESP32 boots normally and the CC1101 initializes successfully.
I can access the web interface, enable the radio, and perform a frequency scan.
However:
- Scan Frequency never detects any packets while pressing the remote.
- The Radio logs remain empty.
- I tested with two different E07-M11010 CC1101 modules.
- I verified the SPI wiring several times.
- I also tested both GDO0/GDO2 mappings.
Everything appears to be functioning except that no RF packets are ever detected.
Observation
The radio configuration page only allows the base frequency to be adjusted down to 433.0 MHz.
Since my remote is marked 426 KK, I believe it is the Japanese RTS variant operating around 426 MHz, rather than the more common European 433.42 MHz version.
The TI CC1101 datasheet appears to indicate that 426 MHz is within the supported tuning range of the chip, so I am wondering whether this is simply outside the frequency range currently exposed by ESPSomfy.
Questions
-
Is the Japanese 426 KK / 426 MHz RTS variant currently supported?
-
If not, is there a firmware build or configuration that supports it?
-
If support does not yet exist, would it be feasible to extend the configurable frequency range to approximately 426.0625 MHz?
I'd be happy to test any experimental firmware or configuration changes if that would be helpful.
Thank you for such an excellent project.
