Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I have a thin client that listens to romm:// links to download and launch roms/isos/games into their respective local emulators (ie. Snes Roms into RetroArch with a Snes9X Core). Currently the magnetlink is provided via a tampermonkey script, which makes it only accessible to me.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like a "play locally" button to provide the magnet link to anyone who has installed such a thin client. This "Play Locally" button can/should be available on both the game detail page as well as the play game/select save page.
The MagnetLink should ideally include the game ID and the save file ID so that a thin client can both download the rom and the save file, as well as upload the save file upon closing the emulator. Save-State support is nice to have.
Describe alternatives you've considered
All local clients (ie Argosy or similar) are limited in their functionality, such as which platforms to play, save-file management, random game picker, etc. . For the purpose of my group, most would prefer to just navigate through RomM to find and play the games through the click of a button. As RomM already offers a great way to navigate a library and maintain a backlog, introducing another frontend would only make the usage of my library more cumbersome.
The streaming function is not an alternative either as my server does not provide that kind of hardware to play remotely.

A similar button could be placed in the "select save file menue":
