I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for this excellent implementation of Material Design 3! I am currently applying this to our project which uses PrimeVue and Tailwind 4. PrimeTek's "Material" theme, based on Material 2, left a lot to be desired so I had been looking at ways to modernize the theme and this open source project checks all the boxes. Especially since finding Google failed to keep the Typescript portion of their utilities up to date.

I was curious about your long term plans with these libraries? In the future I may have some free time to help with maintaining as this is something I see using myself again in the future.

I haven't had time for poupe lately but I need to return to it. It's the foundation of my UI strategy, so long term :) it would be great if you could share some details of what attracted you here to make sure to give your use-case the priority it needs

I can't remember the exact search that brought me to your libraries but I know it happened when I was looking at forks of material-color-utilities because Google's Typescript implementation was falling behind Dart.

Our project is rails on the backend. The frontend is connected with Inertia which handles server side routing so we are using Vue without Nuxt. For UI components we are using PrimeVue and their "Material" theme preset which is now heavily edited. It is a theme styled like Material 2 but under the surface it is not really structured much like Google's design system. For additional styling we are using Tailwind 4.

When I get extra time on the project I have been working to update design system to Material 3. I had already gone so far to implement some of my own simple Tailwind utilities for elevation, surface containers, Material Symbol Icons, etc. So I was rather excited to find not only your fixed version of Material 3's library but a full suite of tools including a Tailwind plugin.

I only just started to set up the Tailwind plugin but hope to get further with it this weekend. I did notice that the plugin settings appears to be a more limited subset of the rest of the theme builder? I was curious about the "variant" modes for generating colors. I should know a lot more and be able to provide better feedback after the weekend. Thanks again!

Hi, I'm sorry I forgot to reply back then. I've resumed the work here and I was wondering how far did you go, what did you miss and what made you cringe? As soon as I finish the new release of @poupe/eslint-plugin-tailwindcss I'll start filling gaps here
