Sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't have time right now to look into what might be the cause of the issue, but I can give you a few tips:

• If your project remains open, I recommend:
  • First try to export your project as an a way to salvage any unsaved work. Exporting as a png image sequence is probably your best option as will save with lossless quality. But keep in mind that it will only save things you've drawn within the camera area, it will flatten the layers, it will duplicate held frames, and sound layers won't be saved.
  • After you've exported it, try using the File > Save As instead of Save and see if that makes any difference. Especially try saving to a different location on your computer if you're currently trying to save it to an external drive.
  • Navigate to C:/Users/omcas/AppData/Local/Temp/Pencil2D/cover bodrio xD_Y2xD_qwlloh8j/data/ in your file explorer and please let us know a) if this data directory exists and b) if it contains the files 003.1450.png, 003.1451.png, and 003.1452.png. Making a copy of this entire directory may also be a good idea as it will give you another way to potentially recover your project. It will be deleted automatically when you quit Pencil2D.
• Finally, in the future there are two things you should do:
  • Make backups of your project always. You can never have too many backups.
  • Upgrade Pencil2D to v0.7.2. There has been a bug fix release since v0.7.0 and it fixes a lot of issue. Off the top of my head, I don't think we had any fixes for an issue like this, but we did add more detailed logging for issues like this which really would have helped us to track down the source of this problem (Improve error handling when saving images #1966).
