Describe your core improvement

Would be nice to have component Schedule mapped to HA Schedule.

Current limitations

No Schedule component in ESPHome exists.

Technical benefits

Thus allowing, f.e.to read schedules from Tuya (may be others too) thermostats, as well to manipulate them (change) from HA side.
As well to define/use schedules as easy as it is in Home Assistant to proceed with specific actions on ESPHome side.

In the process of creating such a component see https://github.com/pebblebed-tech/schedule
It's work in progress but plan is to get the external component done by new year using Homeassistant action call. Then will start process of submitting PR to be included in the release and API.
It gets the schedule from home assistant and stores it in persistent storage on the device, so if the wifi/ home assistant is down it will continue to opperate. It presents a switch and a set of data sensors that have values from the attributes

Will it be possible to access/create the schedules also independent of Home Assistant? Eg. lambdas or REST api?

Definetly via rest, but lambda would be complex as the schedule needs to be well defined. May a lite approach in the future for yaml based lambda eg no attribute data and simplified on off times maybe CRON based. BtW there is already a cron based scheduler as a external component

Well if REST will do, then a web UI would suit nicely
