To do that simply clone the repo then ln -s with the wanted version:

git clone https://github.com/nvim-mini/MiniMax.git ~/.config/.nvim-minimax
ln -s ~/.config/.nvim-minimax/configs/nvim-0.11 ~/.config/nvim

That's one possibility, yes. One big problem here is no (easy) possibility for customization of plugins used in MiniMax. As they would introduce Git conflicts.

Maybe a separate "reference" config in '~/.config/nvim-minimax' that is linked to a fixed reference config is a better compromise for this sort of usage.

I use lazygit so resolving git conflicts is pretty easy much much easier than updating my private config when there is a lot of changes manually.

I could commit my changes and simple rebase with lazygit its very satisfying you would need to be use to it though or it might be hard in the beginning.

If linked into '/.config/nvim-minimax', it can be used as NVIM_APPNAME=nvim-minimax nvim without affecting "main" config (which is '/.config/nvim' and used as nvim).
