Library Thumbnails Won't Load

Hello,
I enabled the library but all the thumbnails are just grey boxes. Previews are also unavailable. Is there a gstreamer or media codec issue with flatpak that I am encountering? Does the app come with its own gstreamer plugins bundled in the flatpak? I am on NixOS. If I right click a photo and hit open with gnome Image Viewer, the photo loads correctly (so the data is there).
Video thumbnails also don't load, but the previews do play the video.

I have looked at the diagnostics files but there doesn't seem to be any logs or relevant information.

If you're running gnome or have the platform installed then it should work without any additional deps for the flatpak that is... maybe check the permissions for the API key. Specifically the asset.view.
You should see a dialog like this if that's the case

I was able to reproduce this sort of issue by denying asset.view.
maybe it's this if not then please let me know.
I'll set up a NixOS environment to check.

The API key has full permissions and I don't see any dialog like that. I am on Gnome and haven't changed much, just installed the flatpak and for some reason the previews don't work (but videos to play in the lightbox)
