facing AttributeError in matplotlib while using lida

Error message
AttributeError: module 'matplotlib.cm' has no attribute 'register_cmap'

I have already installed the latest version of matplotlib using pip, and have tried reinstalling it as well. Still facing the same issue. Any leads on this would be appreciated
