[BUG]: Native Instruments S61 MK2 has flashing display under new MIDI Services

I’m using Cubase 14 on Windows 11 with a Native Instruments Komplete S61 MK2 keyboard, which only supports MIDI 1.0.
Since the Windows 11 update with MIDI 2.0 support, the S61 has largely continued to work, but there is a problem with the mixer display. The channel level meters on the S61 display normally show the value sent by Cubase. However, the level meters are now ‘flickering’ excessively, i.e. the levels are switching very quickly and irregularly between zero and the (presumably) correct value, and this behaviour differs between the right and left channels. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to read anything from them (see also the attached 3-second video).
Is there a workaround to resolve this issue? Thank you very much for your help.

I don't have an mk2 version of the controller.
