Add a cooldown for notifications that update really frequently

I got a voice message from a friend on Instagram, so I opened the app and started playing it. This seems to have created a specific type of notification on my phone "audio message from [name]" with a self-contained progress bar (never seen that before). As it started to play my watch buzzed, and as it continued to play, NC kept popping up a little hourglass in the corner over and over.

I think this would be partially worked around by #15 if/when it's implemented, but I'm wondering if this is a situation where the app is re-pinging the phone unnecessarily, and whether there should be a workaround in place for that? The app wasn't receiving new information, so it was different from receiving multiple explicit messages from a person/app where I'd want to use a cooldown toggle. Thoughts?

Yeah, it was likely app re-pinging its notification. You can work around this by enabling conversation pause on this notification.

I'm honestly kinda surprised that Instagram handles that message type the way it does, Android. Never seen effectively a media type notification that didn't just use the media player area. To me this feels like it should be "handled" by NC's "hide ongoing notifications" toggle, which is already on by default. Wouldn't conversation pause prevent me from seeing more actual messages from my friend, in this situation?

No, conversation pause will only mute the media notification (as long as it's a different notification than your friend's one?)

I'm not sure. I mean, it's playing straight from my DM conversation from him, if that makes sense.
