Description

@letsfindaway

This issue is now superseded by #161. Please visit this link for further information.

Obsolete

Latest builds of the dev branch with additional patches applied according to my pull requests are available at the openSUSE build service for a variety of distributions:

  • openSUSE Leap 15.4, 15.5 and 15.6
  • openSUSE Tumbleweed
  • Debian 11, 12, 13 (testing) and 14 (unstable)
  • Ubuntu 22.04, 22.10, 23.04 and 23.10
  • Arch

Note: Ubuntu 20.04 is currently failing because of an incompatibility of the new cmake builds with Qt 5.12.

If you want to check them out, you can download the ready-built binary packages or even add the repositories as a package source. To download a package:

  • Go to the experimental OpenBoard project at the openSUSE Build Service.
  • To the right, click on your distribution.
  • Click on "Go to download repository" straight below the page title.
  • Click on the amd64 or x86_64 folder.
  • Download the package from there.

Please note that these builds - in contrast to the official ones

  • install to /usr/bin and /usr/share/openboard (not /opt),
  • install configuration files to /etc/openboard,
  • never contain a bundled Qt version but always use the platform's current version.

Latest build (09.12.2023)

The latest build is based on Release 1.7.0 and additionally includes the following pull requests:

Compared to the previous version some typos have been fixed and the version was updated.
